Who do you say that jesus is?

Jesus said that he is "The Way, The Truth & The Life" and that no one is able to get to God unless they go through him. Whether you agree with him or not this claim places Jesus Christ in a category all by himself. We cannot place him along side every other belief system because he claims he is the only way. So to choose another way means you must reject him.  The other thing his claim implies is that we need a way back to God in the first place; that somehow we are separated from God and need a way back. As many have said before, either Jesus was crazy or he was in fact who he claimed to be: God in the flesh and the only source for salvation. Who do you think Jesus is? Is he crazy? Is he a liar? Or is he the Lord? I am afraid those are the only options his claims have left us. If you would like to follow Jesus or learn more about what that means than contact us.

John 14:6

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Jesus makes three specific claims about himself in this passage from the book of John found in the Bible. What does Jesus mean when he says he is the way, the truth and the life? And what does this have to do with us being brought back to God?

Jesus is the life circleemail

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

What does Jesus mean when he says he is, "The Life"? All of us have sinned against God and sadly all of us will die one day and have to stand before him. The cost of our sin is death: to be separated from him forever in Hell. But through Jesus we can have eternal life. What we all need is life and Jesus is the life we need.

But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. John 20:31

jesus is the truth

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator ... Romans 1:25

What does Jesus mean when he says he is, "The Truth"? The reason we are separated from God is because we have exchanged the truth for a lie. We have turned from God to serve ourselves. Jesus Christ is the one true God and we are suppose to worship him alone. All of us want a life built on the truth and Jesus Christ is the truth that we need.

... the Son of God is come ... that we may know him that is true ... his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. 1John 5:20

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

What does Jesus mean when he says he is, "The Way"? There are two things all of us have to deal with: sin and death. There is only one who has offered us a way out - Jesus Christ. He died on the cross and he rose from the grave to completely pay for sin. Now he offers forgiveness and eternal life to all who will simply turn to him and believe. All of us need a way out and Jesus is the only way.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
